I just got my first 2-stroke and am a little unsure of the mixing. The place I bought it from said to always run the same kind of oil and to run race gas. I have a few questions. Can I just run 93 octane gas? Does it really matter if I run the same oil everytime (I ask because they charge over 7 bucks a bottle for this kind and I can get a different kind online a lot cheaper), and if so what's a good brand to run? I was looking at Spectro. I appreciate all the help.

I do not pre-mix but if I did I would use regular "high test" pump gas and golden spectro, I have heard that its pretty good stuff, and helps prohibit rust..

Maxima Castor 927 @32:1 in VP race gas.

It'll smell so good you'll spin donuts trying to get a whiff! HAHA

Pretty much any brand name quality 2-stroke oil is OK. There are quite a few threads you can search through to get more ideas.

As far as running race gas that's pretty unlikely unless that Banshee has some very high compression. I would ask the place you bought it from why they say to run race gas. You're just wasting money if it doesn't really need it. Does it have a Cool Head??? Maybe with small domes???

2 strokes are great, just make sure you don't blow up the thing from not running enough oil or too lean or something like that. Do you know how to check the mixture and calculate your pre-mix ratios? If not, let us know and we'll tell ya.

I think I've got it. One 12-ounce bottle to 4 gallons of gas and I've got 32:1 right?

32:1 is the suggested mix right? I found some Castor 927 in 16 ounce packages if that's the case. BTW, Castor smells real sweet, I loved it.
