Default 2004 Kodiak

My son came home last nite and the machine will not go in any gear..It is automatic.....There is a whinning noise comen from the right side.... is there a chain or something in there to cause this? Thanks to all

You have a belt in there and your clutches are all under that black cover on the right side. I would pop the black cover off and see what is going on in there if it was me. Will the shifter lever shift as if going into gear but then it not move? Or will the shifter lever not move at all (bent linkage)? Will it go into reverse but not drive?

The shifter goes in all gears and it will not move....I will check it out .I bet the belt broke..

That is what it sounds like to me....if so should be a pretty cheap and easy fix
