Default Kodiak 400 oil pressure?

I just picked up a 1998 Yamaha Kodiak 400 and did an oil change. I cleaned the screen at the oil drain and cleaned the pleated oil filter on the side of the engine. The users manual says to check eh oil pressure by loosening the bolt at the top of the engine and run for 1 minute to see if oil seeps out. I did not see oil seep out so I completely removed the bolt (which had a spring on it) and ran the engine for 1 minute. Still no oil seepage. Should I be concerned?

Sounds like a bad oil pump, And thats a big job to change I belive. Oil should **** out of that hole, As I am pretty sure thats the same basic engine as my timberwolf,

How could it happen all of a sudden? Would,nt the motor of blown quickly a long time ago if the oil pressure was bad ?

Did you put it back together right?

My Honda foreman would not circulate oil if the little oil filter went in back wards and it was a easy thing to do.

I'm wondering if the pleated filter is clogged. Should I remove the pleated filter and the other screen filter then refill and test again? I just bought the ATV and haven't driven it fir more than 5 minutes at a time. Any other way to send the oil pump?
