Questions About Raptor 700 I Might Buy
#11
Be careful with deals on craigslist that are too good to be true. I would suspect that Raptor is stolen, $2,000 is too cheap. I would run the VIN # with your local Police Dept before you buy it, and if you do buy it, get a signed receipt with the VIN # on it.
I agree with most of what has been said above, going from a 90 to a 700 is a huge leap, but the 700 is so smooth and predictable i wouldn't be concerned. The 700 is a big quad so if you're a small guy something like a 400EX might be better.
If you're planning on buying fenders, that could cost $500+ so your "good deal" becomes not so much of a good deal. I would stay away from a 700 that has motor work done on it, a stock motor is plenty fast for trails and is far more reliable.

yes 2007 till present, and like was mentioned before if its on craigslist and its to good to be true it probably is. I buy and sell fourwheelers on the side and i have been craigslisting for years trust me i would not get one that has had motor work done.
