I just got a 00 warrior and in the 1, 2, and 3rd gears it misses a little under 3000 RPMs but in 4th, 5th, and 6th you can have it under 3000 RPMs and it wont miss a bit. It has plenty of power. It has a full fmf power core 4 on it to and its jetted for that. So what would it be?

Do you have a tach on it? How do you know the RPM? It could be the jetting or electrical related. I would start with the jetting but it's weird that it only does it in certain gears, which could be related to engine load. The ignition coil/wire/plug is a cheap easy place to start checking electrical components.

 

I do have a tach on it and the low speed jet is probably too rich?? Since it doesn't miss in the upper. 3 gears. If it's a bit rich that won't hurt anything will it? I like the low end power in the upper 3 gears.

 

If its the jetting then it would have more to do with throttle position than RPM. If you notice that it misses when the throttle is 1/8 - 1/2 throttle then it could be the pilot jet is too lean or too rich. Most jet kits that I have used say to leave the pilot jet alone.

 

That makes sense because it doesn't do it in the upper gears because the throttle is in more. Is it hard to re Jet the carb? Do I have to reset the float and all that?

 

So, someone changed the low-speed jet(s)? Sounds like it was done
incorrectly, if at all. Lower restriction muffler can really lean things out.
Check your manual to see what the stock jets were and look to see if
they were changed.

If the ATV makes power at higher RPMs, it is likely not an electrical problem.

You do not need to mess with float bowl height, but the Warrior used
an unusual carb, with slide AND throttle butterfly.

 

I forgot to say it also has a k&n air filter so what would my low speed jet need to be approximately ?

 

I have no idea what the stock jet sizes are....you need a manual.
