Default Thinking of upgrading to Raptor 700.

Hi all,

I am currently riding a stock 2005 Honda 400ex since new which I like alot but am honestly bored with it. It runs phenominal but doesn't have the power I would like. I am mostly a trail rider who loves hill climbs as well. I am close to the purchase of a Raptor 700, will I notice a big power difference and be happy with the switch? Also, will the raptor be a dependable and low maintenance?

Thanks!!!

The Raptor 700 is an awesome machine, in my opinion it's the best sport trail quad out there. I think you would be happy with the upgrade. Keep it stock and it will be reliable for years.

The power you will love. The handling will not be quite as good. I suggest going for a model with the piggyback shocks too. Might as well go with a better suspension while you are at it.

Ok great! I have my eye on an R model but the dealer has an SE on the showroom floor which he really wants to sell me. If he get's the price down close to that of the R I will be leaving with an SE lol.

The R and SE both have the better suspension. Nothing wrong with the base model either, but the upgraded stuff just gives you more to play with!
