Got the quad in pieces. Starter and relay were bad so i took the ones off my 02 just to see if the thing would run. Starter is fine, spins just like it should. Motor will crank but it sleeps after two or three cranks. Can either turn motor over manually and hit starter again then the same thing happens. Or bump the electric start a few times and it will catch again.

Any ideas how to resolve this issue?

 

Sounds like a weak battery. What voltage is it showing when not cranking and when cranking?

 

battery is good. pulled it out of the 02 as well lol. I now have 2 half torn apart quads
