Well gus, im about to buy it, started to get a YZ426......but broke my hand on a friends YZ400 the otherday....just to much bike.......besides, I have tons of experience on quads compared to a dirtbike......, my question is after I buy the raptor, what does it need done before I ride it for the first time? (ie: greased, etc)

The bike is good to go straight from the dealer. You will here people dog it and all but just ignore them. They are jelous they dont have a gre bike liek you. A wider axle is a nice mod after you get used to it.

Check the air filter...mine was'nt oiled when new and I remember other guys posting the same message.
Also, keep an eye on the bottom steering stem nut...if you get slack in the steering...it's loose.

Get the aftermarket axle before you even ride it. I rode a guys the other day. WOW. The power of that thing was awesome. It did seem VERY tippy though. Kind of felt like a larger scale version of a Blaster, except with 5x the HP. I would definately buy one.
