I am about to buy a Raptor. I may sell my 300ex to a friend of mine. I want to know everyone's opinion on whether or not I should make this move. The 300ex is a very good quad. But, I am 250 lbs. of man, and I find myself wanting more power. I do not do a lot of jumps, but I do like to ride hard. Any and all opinions are welcome.

 

The raptor is a good quad and ALOT better with the right mods. First gear it done and get a TC racing pipe and go with a 2+2 rear axle and you will love it. Stock its geared to high and its to narrow!

 

I have a 98 Warrior and just purchased a new 01 black/white Raptor. I thought it would be nice to have both machines because I was so used to the Warrior and thought I mastered it pretty well. I gotta say after the Raptor the Warrior wont see much use from me anymore. Stepping up from a 300ex you wont believe the power difference. It feels totally different. Roomy, comfortable, great suspension. It's far better than I had hoped it would be. The power is deceptive, you dont really know what's there until you ride with other quads.

 

@ 250 you should atleast go with a raptor of ds650 depends on trailds you ride
