My freind has a 2000 banshee with fmf pipes and silencer's and a prodesign cool head and k&n filters and a twist throttle and then my other freind has a 99 cr250 with a fmf pipe and silencer and a milled head. Both machines have paddle ties when they go to the dunes and the banshee wins by 10-15 bike lenghs the banshee rider weigh's about 180 and the cr rider weigh's about 200. I like to ride the cr better because you can pull a wheelie in almost any gear and the banshee can pull them in 3rd or 4th and that's it.

You guys are kidding, right? The only way a banshee is going to beat any 250 2-stroke dirt bike is if they put one of giant sleds they use for tractor pulls behind the dirt bike. P.S. Skinny single dirt bike paddle tires vs. fat dual four-wheeler tires in the sand don't tell you anything about the machines other than two fat tires get more traction in sand than one skinny tire.

The only reasonable way I see a quad beating a 2 wheeler is if you’re in low traction terrain like sand, snow, or gravel. On dirt or pavement he'll have you beat.

The CR 250 won't even come close to beating my nitro powered LEM 50.

I have a 91 modified cr 250. It would walk away from a banshee fairly easy but depending how modified the banshee is, i would say the cr 250 will beat the banshee, with the right rider.
