Stock Raptor tires acceptable for dunes?
#2
If you are planning to do dune riding on a regular basis, a set of paddle tires is worth the money, but if you only plan to ride the dunes a few times a year then the stock tires will do fine. The stock Raptor tires pull as good as any non-paddle tire in the sand, and you can get those kick a** slides and roostertails.

Where in west Texas are you going. I will be leaving for west Texas Thursday evening for 4 days of dune riding. Send me an email for with the location you will be going to and just maybe we are going to the ssame place and we can hook up.

I am also meeting RaptorRRC at the dunes. Let us know what your plans are. I used paddles last time until I had a flat and put the stocks back on and rode all day with out much problems at all (Got stuck once or twice due to my inexperience in the sand). Not a big deal at all.
