New Wolverine, What A/M products do I need?

I'd go with the plastic skid plate instead. They're VERY tough, they absorb impacts better, and it'll slide over stuff better.
I'd also replace the skid plate on the rear differential asap. Ride in any rough ground and it won't do much. It's so thin and flimsy that it won't stand up to abuse.
If you're not into high speed riding on logging roads and stuff I'd go with a set of 25" tires. (I've got a set of rims and tires off a Grizzly) That will greatly increase your ground clearence, and allow you to cruise over alot of stuff that would hang you up with the stock tires. It will also increase your top speed, BUT be careful. The quad is not nearly as stable on high speed turns with the bigger tires. It requires alot more body language to go as fast, and I'm still not comfortable with them on twisty dirt roads.

Not to disrespect the newfs opinion but I have the DG aluminum skids on mine and I find them to work great. If you look on my site, the first shoebox in the photogallery, last pic you'll see the underneath with most of the Aluminum skid plates. Looks good and really does a good job. Its fully covered from front to back..

Crazy Canuck, I'd go with either the DG or the Yamaha one, which ever one is cheaper. They're both aluminum and they look about the same.
Slywolf, I'm just wondering where you buy your aftermarket parts? Do you send away for them, or does your dealer stock stuff like that?
Have you gone head to head with a stock Wolverine to see how much of a gain you got with the pipe and filter? I've been thinking about a filter for a while, but it seems rather pricey, and the pipe even moreso. Let me know how it runs please.

Well I kinda lucked out when I bought mine because all the engine mods were already there so I didn't buy the pipe or filter kit. I've seen some other Wolverines around but never went riding with anyone with a Wolverine yet. All I know is that with the 25" tires I have on, I have no problems breaking them loose under any condition accept pave of course. Its got good punch when hard on the throttle. I would be curious to try a stock Wolverine to see the difference. If I ever get the chance to try one, I'll let you know if I find a big diff. or not.

Sly,
Where did you get the fender protectors for your wolv. and what is the handle on the left side of your quad? I seen it in your pics just curious.

Well, there not really floor boards but there kimpex bars that are around the peg in front incase your feet slip off. There nice so that brush and branches don't come up and hit your feet. As for the fender protectors, I bought them from an accessory dealer here in Moncton. You can order them from Kimpex and there round. The ones I bought are square tubing. The reason I went with these ones is because the foot pegs are tougher.
The foot pegs is what u were referring to on the left side of the Wolverine. When you have the rear seat on, the person sitting back there, rest there feet on them. They pivot outwards and in the pic, there in the closed position, so that there not in the way.
I can't remember the name of the company that I bought them from but they did come in handy last fall right after I installed them. I was on a trip with some sport bikes and a 300ex decided he was going to stop rather quickly. He started to pull to the right so I pulled quick to the left. Then all of a sudden he snaps around and cuts me off. I just cut my front tires hard to the left and just missed his rear end but the fenders slammed into my rear fender protector. If they weren't there, it probably would have snapped my rear right fender.. We were going along at quite a fast pace. They do come in handy for grabbing on to when stuck as well. Nice accessory to have for protection.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, The fender protector is attached to the rear rack with u brackets and rubber in between rack and bar. At the bottom, there attached with bolts to the heal guard.

I would be really interested in finding the name and where I could order those foot peg protectors. Do they attach to the pegs? About how much did they cost (U.S. dollars)? Did you have any problems mounting with the skid plate on there already? Just a few questions I had. I bent my gear shifter this last weekend on a small tree someone cut off and didn't see it. I am also interested if they attach to the pegs because I have bent the pegs down when I have jumped it before. Thanks in advance.
