Hi all , I Live in New Zealand (below Australia) I bought the first Raptor that arrived in NZ . My questios seem to be stumping the so called experts (ATV Shop grease monkeys) can somebody help . What exhaust (Slip- On) is best ..I have been told Curtis Sparks makes a good low down snappy slip on . I had an E series (slip on ) on my 400ex which was awsome !...ive read all your comments over the past few days and now im confused .Help !!

Also do i need to rejet when just adding a slip on and if so what sizes etc . I have a Uni Filter as well , I leave the Air Box lid on.

Thanks a lot

Prokiwi,
No one can tell you for sure if you will need to rejet when installing a slip-on. My suggestion to you is to put on the slip-on and do a plug test. Run it full throttle in 3rd or 4th gear then pull in the clutch and turn the key off. Pull the plug and inspect it. It should be a light tan color, not white.

The stock jetting is 140/145 mains and 22.5 pilots. After doing a plug test, you may need to use a 145/150.

It might not be stock 140/145 in NZ. Depending on what your elevation is!

Go ahead and intall the slip-on and do a plug test. That's the only way to make sure your not running too lean.

Good luck!
