I am envious of the 250R....I owned two of them, sold them because I got into Banshees...wish I would have kept at least one of them. I have owned a YFZ450 as well....awesome machines. I still own a Banshee....a 94 model, rode it this past weekend. My Prairie 700 is my main ride now....it has fairly good "zip" and if I go thru a puddle, the fender coverage keeps me clean.....I like..

All nice rides. My brother and I have gone in on a lot of machines together. Another Banshee may be the next Co purchase. I miss the one we had, not something I wanted to ride all day or anything, but that twin cylinder wail calls to my soul. The 250r is probably something only my kids will own after me, I just don't see myself getting rid of it without some major life changes getting in the way. Unfortunately it seems the 4x4 proliferation has really made life hard for the sport guys in a lot of riding locations. Between that, and my, um, maturity, I am really loving on the ride of the sxs.

Back in the day, 4x4 utility quads were slow, work only machines. Now you can get 1000cc twin cylinder machines that will run 80 mph. Will they ever be as nimble or easy to slide around as a sport quad, no they won't. But their versatility has made them much more popular for the last 5 years or so than sport quads. Used sport quads do cost less so people will still buy them. But few buy them brand new anymore. If you can buy a 400ex that runs forever when its 10 years old and pay 1/4 the price of a new one, almost everyone will choose the used 400ex. And ride it for 10 more years.
