Starter hit and miss
Okay so I was told to replace the starter clutch on my 99 yamaha warrior I have done this and the start still doesn't grab right away and it will spin or like 4 or 5 seconds and then grab or spin for like 30sec then grab and my starter sometimes won't even spin I'm lost only thing I can think is the stater is going bad and not spinning fast enough could this be possible? Any help would be great thanks

I have an 04 warrior and had the exact same problem. I took the left crankcase cover off, pulled the flywheel, and replaced the one way bearing. You may also have a problem with the clutch sensor, as I just recently hit wires that by sticking the plug for it together. Stocks a battery booster on the battery over night and it should fire up. The one way bearing is a little tricky to get put in with out have a tiny bearing piece fall out. Very worth it once fixed tho!
Good luck!!
