Default clutch issues

its acutaly on a mx100 dirt bike - but i know the engines are almost identical.

My issue is simple - clutch worked when i got it, gearbox was bone dry. added oil everything was still fine.
suddenly the clutch would not disengage - drained the oil and it WORKED again. added 20w50 atv wet clutch oil. quit working. dissembled the clutch cleaned everything tested it apart seemed to all work just fine. untill you guessed it ADDED oil.

What was recommended oil back in 1982??? every time i add any kind of motor/atv/clutch oil it quits working. i cant adjust it out nothing, it will not disengage unless i leave the oil out.
So now its apart again and working just fine with out any oil.
Clutchs still have life left
no pitting
no grooving

Friction plates can mic out ok and look good but can get oil saturated over the years and cause problems. Easier just to replace them. Steel plates for the most part will last a lot longer.5 PCS Clutch Plates For Yamaha DT100 MX100 TTR125 00-04 TTR125 E/L/LE/LW | eBay As far as transmission oil, plenty to choose from.
