Why does my reverse light turn on at random times

I have a raptor 700R SE Ann's recently the reverse light has been lighting up when I'm riding and it limits my throttle. In reverse rev is electronically limited and now I can't ride at full throttle cause it's limited

Had A Raptor 660 that did that. It was the wires down by the shifter(reverse light) that had worn thru and shorted.
