Are you talking the transfer case where the rear drive shaft and front drive shaft come out?

Think its 80-90 like the differentials. I can't find it on the service manual. I will look again

In the service manual it has the engine oil and the transfer gear oil in the same procedure. So maybe it takes engine oil. I know where the output gear is just in front of the transfer case that is oiled by the oil pump with the motor oil. Hope someone else chimes in and gives the definite answer because I have to pull one out to replace the bearings next weekend.

my 94 uses the engine oil and has a drain plug lower rear on the bottom of the middle gear hsg on the bottom of a cone shaped hsg...the manual says if draining both it uses 3 qts if not like 2.8 qts...
