Well today I finally took my shiny new Raptor to the dunes, Banshee country. I soon found a willing '01 Shee ready to take my Raptor. Lined up 3 times, resulting in 3 wins for the Raptor, Shee was totally stock. Later met up with a Shee running toomeys results, Raptor getting toasted alive and beaten mercilessly must have been at least 6-8 quad lengths worth of whoopin. This same rider got on his wife's quad which was supposedly totally stock, (well stock pipes anyhow) and again whooped up on the Raptor. My observations were that the Raptor liked to wheelie way too much for good starts. All in all I gotta say it made a respectable showing for a stock 4 stroke. I also raced a Raptor that had a custom pipe and different carbs and it too ate me up. I have to wonder how he would have done against the Toomey equipped Shee. Also, gotta put that 12 tooth front sprocket on, it's just geared too tall for dunes!
