Well it finally happened last night. I was doing some laps at our mx track then pulled over to rest. Waited for about 10 minutes then went to start the beast and bam, backfire and the carbs popped off. I plan on putting regular hose clamps on today and see what happens. Does any of you have a better plan for this problem.

Turn your idle up a little and check to make sure your not running lean. Plus make sure your air box is as far forward as it can go. If you do these 3 things you should be fine.
1.Turn idle speed up a little
2.Make sure your not running lean
3.Move air box as far forward as possible

The intake track is very short on the rapter carbs , when you tighen the clamps make sure their pushed all the way close to the carbs if you don't, the clamp pushes on the carbs and they pop off easily.

Adjust your idle to 1800rpm. Your dealer should of told you that. They were all given the information months ago. I have never had a problem.

Turn your pilot screws out 3 turns and adjust your valves.

Just adjusted the valves no more than two weeks ago. I went out and got a couple of hose clamps and put those on. Hopefully this will work just fine.
