I have a 2001 Yamaha big bear 400 that i lost the key for and got a new ignition off of eBay. So far i have got 2 new ignitions and both of them slowly stop working and i rigged up a switch with one of the old ignition wires to turn it on and that worked fine until i was riding down the road parked it for about an hour and came back nothing worked.even if i put the 2 wires to gather from the ignition nothing works the battery is charged i have no clue what is going on

 

Did you check fuse?
