I considering trading my 400EX in for a new Raptor. I was wondering if anybody has ridden both and tell me how they compare against each other. Do you think this is a good or bad move?

Ride the Raptor ONE time, and you'll NEVER go back to the 400ex again! This one's a no-brainer.

the raptor is a 400ex but better. it has more power, reverse, and liquid cooling. its a great bike. you'll love it once you get used to it.

I began typing a snide comment about why you should buy a LT500 but decided that that is childish. These forums need to get away from that. The 400EX is a fine machine-as is the Raptor. Only do it if you don't mind the payments and are genuinally dissatisfied with the performance of the 400EX.

I have ridden both machines, I loved the feel of the 400ex compared to my banshee in the woods.
I now have a Raptor, I do like the raptor on aggresive riding the thiness of the seat makes you feel you have more control and manuverability.
No comparison in power increase.

My 2 cents. Raptor will put a smile on your face.
You won't be dissatisfied.
Take a 400ex to the next level of performance
you have raptor.
