I just got a new durablue for my warrior and was wondering what size the axle nut is on it. It appears to be much bigger than stock. Am I going to have to buy two different wrenches? Also.....is this nut metric or standard?

I don't know what size it is, but when you find out what fits it, will you please let me know? I would like to buy a specific wrench for it, as I don't want to chew the thing up using a pipe wrench.

Do you want the size of the stock nut or the durablue? As soon as i find out i will let you know.

 

I bought my 1992 Warrior used and don't know much about atv's since this is my first one. But why would both nuts that hold the axle in place be welded on?? I'm not talking about the four lug nuts holding on the wheel, i'm talking about the one large nut in the center for the axle...??? why would someone do that? did they stip the threads on the axle?? also when i got the quad the guy gave me a brand new axle with it, but i don't even know if it's the right one for my quad?? and how do i know if i need to put a new one on? thanks for the help
