I just put a Paul Turner pipe and a Fat Boy silencer on my blaster. BUT!, where the piece that mounts onto the engine, and where the headpipe slips on, there is a leak! what could causing this? its ok around idle, but if u rev on it then you can see a little puff of blue smoke come out from the joining, the springs are new....
Any ideas?!

Are blasters supposed to have a rubber o-ring between the pipe and motor like a banshee does?

We put a FMF pipe on my wifes blaster and had the same problem. The mechanic we took it to told us to use some high temp gasket sealent and we havent had a problem since. i hpe this helps.

I will check on the high temp sealant, but i want to make for sure we are talking about the same thing, there are two pieces... one mounts on the motor and has a little flange that the pipe slips onto. the leak is occuring where the flange and pipe meet, not where the pipe mount attaches to the motor... is this same thing that you were talkin about?? Oh yes.. i also changed the springs to a set of Banshee springs i had laying around, they were much tighter and this seemed to help it some... thanks!!

this is easy just take the pipe off and put a generous amount of high temp silicone around the flange thing (the part where the pipe slides on ) and the pipe back on and don`t ride it until it drys it worked with mine
and if it were me i would take the flange off and put the sealent on where the flange bolts up to the engine
