Does anyone know the diameter of the ProDesign air filter (part where it clamps to aluminum flange)? Has anyone made their own flange as mentioned in recent ATV mag?

Looks like 2 and 7/16" Just got mine and haven't installed yet but put my buddys on his Raptor. Nice billet piece bolted to box but not too impressed with the filter. Looks like it should give it alot more flow though. I thought I'd see if I could find two K&N's to fit the flange and carry them on trips for spares.

Martel Bros out of Houston has the entire K&N catalog online. http://www.martelbros.com/kn/kn.htm Look under the universal air filters. I don't know why K&N doesn't have this kind of information on their site.

I was just looking at that website, looks like the smallest they make with a 2 7/16 dia, is a 3 1/2" outer dia, I was looking at my pro design and that is not going fit 2 of them. I would love to put a K&N on mine, any ideas?

Actually here's a an idea my brother has on his Raptor. He had four old K&N individual filters from his 87 GSXR1100 laying around and they will fit on the stock manifold. He took the airbox completely off. He got his pro-flow kit and never actually tried the GSXR set up. It looked liked it would work great to me. The filters are small was the only drawback. I don't know if a bigger filter really matters if its free flowing. Comments welcome. He needed new hose clamps that would tighten up the filters snuggly on the the stock manifold he bought at any automotive store.
