I'm starting to look into a new wheeler for hunting. So far the Big Bear 400 4x2 best fits what I'm looking for (rack capacity, ground clearance, fuel capacity). Does anyone have any input about the reliability of these machines or weak points?

The BigBear is a good quad. But I'm with Amy on this one, why not go with the Kodiak? It's automatic and probably better suited for your hunting needs.

the big bear is a good machine, cheaper than a kodiak, you get what you pay for.

To be honest, I hadn't really looked at the Kodiak because I thought it was a lot more expensive and bigger. But I just looked at the Yamaha website and the MSRP isn't that much more. It's also smaller and a bit lighter. So I guess it's an option now too. Can anyone tell me about the reliability of the Big Bear or Kodiak compared to other makes?
