How did that happen? Wait, let me guess: Quad jacked up with engine running and in gear and somehow the fingers got in between the chain and sprocket. That's nottin'.......I got my finger slammed in a tractor door by my grandpa, it bled for hours until I could go to hospital, I almost had to get my bone re adjusted, it popped it out of place. But that was when I was about 5 and I'm 15 now, you can still see my finger is bent from it[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

The same holds true for cleaning your chain too. I got a buddy who had the bright idea to put his Warrior on a milk crate and wipe off his chain while the machine was running. Sucked the rag and his thumb through the chain and sprocket. It took the tip of his thumb completely off. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] Never claimed he was the brightest crayon in the box. High five for teaching all of us a lesson, or let's say high 4 1/2 [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

I don't see why you would need to get your hand so close to the chain to lube it. When I spray the chain my hands are always atleast 6" away from all moving parts.
