Any PROBLEMS out of the UPDATED 01 Raptor??

ok..there was a number yall were talkin about that if u got a raptor past the number 6000 (i think) then u had the new 2nd gear and yours has been jetted a little richer (so the carb boot wont blow off).
i was just wondering if any of yall with the updated raptors have had any problems with the tranny or carb.

My Raptor is in the 8500's. I haven't had any problems. I only have about 10 hours on the bike though. Now, I have to figure out if I want to buy the extended warranty on the quad by the end of the month. I don't think I am going to have any problems with it but do I really want to take that chance? I will probably break down and spend the $500 for the 3 year warranty just to be safe.

There are no "updated" 01' Raptors.
There is a guy on this forum that claims to be an atv tech. He says that all 01' Raptors are the same. His name is Rap Tech. He also says for anyone to ask him questions if they want, and he'll try to answer them.
I'd like to know who starts this stuff about VIN numbers and such. Where do they get it from?

I found some additional information after I posted and I read the information from Rap Tech. I guess it really doesn't matter. I have also read the posts about the machines that did not break some high numbers some low numbers. Maybe there is a problem with the part where there are defected ones and maybe you get lucky that there is no problem. I don't blame all the breakages on rider error although I believe that may be the cause for some.
