Raptor 660 or 400ex

If you usually ride in the woods a 400EX will more than keep up with a Banshee. Keep in mind any wide open, straight, flat area & the Banshee will pull away though. If he is your friend he won't leave you behind even if you ride a LT80

According to ATV action in the Raptor Vs 400Ex shootout the Raptor wins hands down. That is an independant test so you decide.... I have been riding a Raptor for 6 months now and wouldn't trade it for anything. Before the Raptor came out the 400EX would have been my first choice.
PS : The Raptor has also just won the shootout (ATV Action again) against the Cannondale 400 FX (?). Althought the Cannondale is more race ready and costs about $1,500 more!!!!!

I have the ATV ACTION magazine and the Raptor did not win, I read it as a tie. I am totally unbiased and would go with the Raptor myself. They said that the differences were so small, the preference really goes to the buyer. It suggested for the woods, the Raptor over the Cannondale. Secondly, I do believe it went against the FX400 which is to my recollection only $500 more. It said that some riders would prefer the FX, but invariably suggests the Raptor for more customers.
I don't think that's a decisive win for the Raptor and we'll see how it fairs against the newer Cannons that cost 1500 more.
Now, the 400ex will not be left in the dust by a banshee. I can't believe that people rag on the 400ex now that the Raptor and Cannons are out, belittling below the banshee. To my knowledge, and from what I've often read, the 400ex beats the Banshee in the woods because of its midrange power and superior handling. I think either quad you'll get, you'll be leaving YOUR friends in the dust because both seem superior to Banshees in the woods. BUT AGAIN, looking at the Raptor vs 400ex and handling goes to the 400, but the more power of the Raptor gave it the win. I think this power will come in great in the woods over Banshees- which have never owned the trails to begin with.

Sorry alibaba (bursting your bubble again) - according to the article they say the Raptor had already won the shootouts against the Banshee, Bombadier, and 400EX. They also said it was very close against the Cannondale but in all shootouts there has to be a winner and the Raptor was their final choice (albeit a close one)...
