Could someone explain to me what a degree key is?

In most 2 stroke engines yes. As mentioned about the adjustable timing plates, I prefer those, so there can be some fine tuning done and get to the optimum setting. The timing key is a cost effective mod and a cheaper alternative to a timing plate. It's not going to be a WOW where did that come from, but it all does add up...

Hey Backcountry, have you messed around with any programmable ignitions yet? Im considering that dyna for my drag/duner for that reason, would be real nice to be able to choose different power curves, and even make your own.

I've been using an MSD ignition that has an adjustable timing curve for about 2.5 years now. I've been VERY pleased with it over the stock R system. The only drawback, is that other than reference marks that I have, I have no way of knowing how much advance or retard I am actually running. The only way I have to test is ET's. I have been looking into some of the other programmable systems that allow you to map it on a PC and then download it to the brain. Go for it!!!

What about for a blaster? will it take off any power in btop end (or low end)? im looking towards a vitos. thanx
