Warrior tires?
#2
A friend of mine runs the 6ply bandits in 22x11x9 on his warrior. He says they are great for traction and hold up really well. Also they seem to resist thorns well.I run 22x11x9 Holeshot XCT's on my Banshee which i think would also be a great tire for a warrior. We ride together and I think mine are a little better in the trails.Hope this was a help.

I have a 2001 Warrior and bought the 22*11*9 Razzors and sent them back. I like the tread but they were too tall for me. The stock tire is 22*10*9 (DOMED). This means the only part of the tire that is 22" tall is the middle. With the Razzors the tire is an inch wider and FLAT all the way across. It was alot of tire on the ground, it was more stable but didn't break loose as easy, and when your power sliding around a corner you need to keep the tires spinning. I went with the 20*11*9 Holeshots rear and 21*7*10 rear. I also changed the front sproket to a 14 tooth. Before changing to the 14 tooth I was running through the gears real quick with the shorter tires. It's all personal opinion but I was very happy with the change, the only draw back is I lost about 3/4" of ground clearance after it was all said and done.

I don't want anyone jumping down my throat here, cause I don't know, and that is why I am ASKING... how do tires such as the Razors and Holeshots do on trails and open areas both when it is MUDDY! I do mostly trail riding and it never fails that here in Indiana when I plan a trip it rains for 3 days before and the whole time I am riding. I need something that is going to do great in the mud and trails, okay on the mx track for the rare occasion I hit one, and won't roll over like the stock tires. I think I will probably stick w/ about the same height tire, cause I love ground clearance, but I still want to be able to powerslide to some extent. I was thinking along the lines of Dirt Devils or some kind of mud tire. A buddy has a '99 Warrior w/ either Super Swamper or Dirt Devils (it's been awhile since I seen him so I forget) and last time we rode together he seem to handle the mud allot better.
Am I going to notice a difference if it isn't REALLY muddy, and how would each handle different from the other. I can't find any info that really talks about mud tires on sport bikes.
Any info/opinions would be great.
Thanks.

I have an 87 warrior. I live in michigan. most of the tril riding hear is hard dirt and little mud. I have a pair of 20 bandits on the rear. with the smaller tires i seemed to get a faster lowend and lost a little of the top end. Straight hole shots they hookup well. And power slids are possible, but not as easy as the holeshot or razors. i had a set of holeshots on prior, and i think for my riding condition the next pair i buy will eather be holeshots or razors. Also you will notice buy switching to a flat tire instead of the ballon tires it comes with stock. Your back end dont hop around as much on the whoops. I hope that helped a little. I just put Dirt Devils on my warrior they hook up great! I was looking at every tire there was but I really liked the dirt devils and my dealer sells about 2 pair a week. In the mud you dont even think about getting stuck. They are 6 ply so they will last long too.

Thanks for the opinions... 2 more questions...
Slaughterhouse - How do these tires handle on mx tracks? Do the powerslide okay?
Yamaha2469 - Where the heck is Corydon Indiana? I know I have heard of it, but can't recall where it is at... and where do you ride at?
I am still having problems finding places to ride.
Thanks again.
