Here's the deal, my throttle sticks ONLY when it is wet.
I have ridden full days (with no water) without ANY problem whatsoever, then get on a trail with a little water, splash through it...and I'm done...the throttle sticks slightly above idle (it stays at 1500rpm (?) for 1-2 seconds then gets back down to idle). If this is the only splash, it does it 1 or 2 times and then disappears until the next water splash...If I get it real wet, then it will stick from like described right above to full throttle (or max rpm)...and won't budge until i switch it off (I haven't had the courage to leave it like this wide open for more than a couple seconds though).
Today, I went riding and it was raining...no water on the ground...just raining (a little hard, but only rain). It did the same thing...I would start riding, perfect...then within a minute or less, it started sticking..and would stick more and more and finish stuck wide open. When I shut it off, and started again, the exact same thing, similar timing, similar evolution...

I have been told that this could be caused by the hot slides and cold carb...causing it to squeeze the slide...it does make sense...but did the conceptors of the carb really did such a thing?? Are the tolerances so tight?
Could it be caused by the cable? the twist itself? I have no idea of why water has such a dramatic influence..

I have a Motion Pro twist, with no TORS (I have a kill switch...the shee won't go away without me...)...and this problem is ruining my rides...

Someone help me!!!!

i had exactly the same problem on mine (same motion pro throttle & no tors)
what's happenning is the water is washing dirt down in the tops of the carbs where the throttle cable enters (poor sealing) grit is causing the sliders to stick.
on mine, the slider return springs were kinked which was making things worse.

to fix this, i wrapped insulating tape round where the throttle cables enter the tops of the carbs and stretched and straightened the return springs.

i also tried sanding down my sliders with really fine abrasive.

hope this helps

Instead of insulation tape try silicone, best waterproofer out there.

if using silicone, make sure it can withstand petrol
some silicone melts under petrol
