iff sniff sniff!!! I found a neutral between second and third to day on the raptor that I never knew was there before!!! I know what this means.....no more tranny! Well...I got news for Yamaha...I'm only 16 and paying for the raptor myself and I have NO MONEY to be putting a new tranny in. If it comes down to it.....I'll just write up a little letter.....somehow telling them to come here (atvconnection) and look around at all the tranny problems they have been having......and then try to tell me that the tranny problem is because of my own doing. SCREW THEM!!! I AM NOT PAYING FOR A TRANNY.....

Bummer man... Tell ya what, after you get sick of sitting on your a$$ waiting for yammy to fix it, I'll trade my blaster for it, it runs like a champ and has all the gears he,he.. (it was a joke) Sorry to hear that, kind of like my banshee, I blew it up bigtime and couldnt afford to fix it..

i can find a neutral on my raptor in between any gear and it runs fine, that is just the action of the ractheting shifter mecanism, unless ofcourse your raptor is dead in its tracks, i would not worry about it,i thought it was a big deal at first then i remebered hiting in between gears on my cr125 and many banshees, and they are all still fine

I had an experience too that made me say NOOO!!!!WHY ME!!!! I had just bought a used Banshee with only 6 hrs on the new rebuild. I'm from New Hampshire and traveled to New York to get this bike. Well the bike was in good condition but needed some work. The guy I bought it off of put new exhaust and boysen reeds on the bike; but what he had failed to do was jet the carbs. Being a newbie at the time and not knowing too much about bikes, I failed to ask that question. After changing the oil/sparkplugs and performing general maintenance I went out riding and had no problems. So know the bike has about 10-14 hrs on er and then I went out again the next day and BOOOOOOOM!! No compression from my right side exhaust. HMM open the engine..... HOLE IN THE PISTON... AWESOME, come to find out the stock 200's (jets) were still in the carbs. So know I am rebuilding the engine myself and adding alot of aftermarket performance parts as well... So anytime you make a change to the bike as far as performance make sure you rejet the carbs. geeze
