Raptor vs YZ125

This is going to turn into an argument full of people who don't know alot spouting untruths,but I can Tell you a 125 will beat both Banshees and Raptors in drag races.The Raptor will top out at around 71-72 MPH and a 125 will top out at around 70-71 and get there a HELL of alot faster.35 HP 190 LBS of uncomprimising performance. Your Raptor may be easier to ride and fluffy with its electric start and reverse, but the 125s sole purpose is performance.

Well don't know about a 125, but I saw a Banshee lose to a YZ250, barley. I mean the terrain was pretty bumpy, so the bike had the advantage.
But the bike bet the Banshee by about 1/2 to 1 bike length. I mean it was close. Thought I would share.

I agree with Gary. Not to start any argument or anything, but I think the bike would win in a "drag race". The Raptor would get it on top end though, if the bike was stock.
Guess you'll just have to see for yourself though.

GaryManilow- Very True!! We have a 1994 Yz125 stock and it is VERY FAST!! People on here must never have rode a 125. People Need to ride one Before they start Running there Mouth!!

I'm guessing that the original post was reffering to stock vs. stock mainly because he didn't list any mods. Obviously you can make a Raptor beat a 125, and vise versa if you have mods on them.
Anyway, I would have believed that a Raptor could beat a 125 (although I doubt it), but there is no way it could beat a 250 unless it was modded pretty good. You have to look at the HP to weight ratio of a dirtbike...it's insane.
