stroker kit for wolverine
#3
Allright some Wolverine owners!! I just brought home the 2002. This is my first quad and am very excited to get to know her. I was wondering what mods might be available to get a little more acceleration and top end out of of it?

Well, first thing to do for more bottom, mid, and topend would be to get an aftermarket pipe like supertrapp or megamax. Get a Uni filter or K&N filter, not sure which one is better but I have a UNI filter on mine. Also put a set of 25" tires on that puppy. That should get you up in the 60 mile/hr range. I can get 65 miles/hr. on my 99 Wolv. I have a blast on my Wolverine when riding with both utility bikes and sport bikes. I have best of both worlds with the Wolv., trust me, you'll love it, especially if your a trail rider with many types of riding situations. The Wolverine pretty much shines in almost any situation compared to a lot of other machines.
Have fun bud! Check out my 99 Wolverine and some different rides I've been on so far:

FST has advertised a 446cc srtoker kit in the mags for $650. They also sell the 500 kits, but from what I understand, lots of machine work is required. Lots of company's will not stroke a Wolverine because of the weight on the crank. (clutches and stuff) Good luck with what ever you choose and let us know how it turns out.

Well i talked to mickey dunlap (owner of FST) and he said i could get a 446 kit shiped to me for $600 and if i wanted more performance for racing i could get a manual clutch shipp ed to me for $95. The 500 kits from what i heard are big bucks and dont last long.
