Can somebody tell me what aftermarket oil filter I can use on my new Kodiac 400? There has to be a part no. for a fram or something equivilent that would be cheaper than going to the dealer for the oil filter. Also I just got mine and the speedometer is hard to read at night. Its too dim, is this normal.

I am using one from Purolator and it cost me $4.00 I cannot recall the model number but if you remove the stock filter and go to the auto part store they will match it. If you decide to use Purolator like me, then its the smallest filter they make so that might help also.

Make sure your lights are still seated correctly in the plastic case. The lights came out on one of my Kodiaks so it wasn't lit at all. I thought the bulb was burned out but it wasn't.

The purolator oil filter number is ML16819. They make a great product and I also use purolator oil filters on my 2000 F-150 Lariat.
