Hi Guys,

I own a current model Wolverine but have heard a rumour that a replacement bike is in the wind. Has anyone heard about this bike? The current model bike is good but a bit outdated and lacks power. Has anyone heard about this new model? Any help would be excellent.

See Ya,

I just bought the 2002 and the only differences were more powerful headlights, and a rear brake light. I have not heard of a replacement at all. I know not much has changed since its debut so maybe some big upgrades are in the works but I dont think a replacement is.

Yes I seen a bad sneek peek of the proto type Wolverine in some Magazine awhile back(DW I think). It looks to have IRS rear suspension and a liguid cooled 400 four stroke engine. The best point of the current Wolverine is it is the lightest 4wd made even compared to the 250 4wds,I hope the new one does not gain to much weight if it comes out.

You were looking at the "spy" photos of the New Grizzly, my friend. Dirt wheels thought that it would be a Wolverine but turned out to be a new, updated version of the Grizzly!

Sorry for the bad news!

Dirt Wheels has been talking about a 400 Wolverine for two years now. I think they like to speculate a little too much but I guess it sells magizines. The wolverine has been pretty much untouched for what....close to 10 years. But it is everything that it is advertised to be. I would think that Yamaha might consider a motor update in the next couple of years. Just got my Sept. issue of Dirt Wheels. Their trying to convince Yamaha to update the Banshee 2 stroke. Check it out.

If Yamaha updates the Banshee to a new frame, suspension etc. I WILL HAVE ONE. Eventhough I have never owned a sport ATV an updated Banshee would be awesome. By the way the Wolverine Rocks! I did sell mine just last week only reason was power and because I want to do Cross country racing in the Stock Util class. This class is hard to compete in with a stock Wolverine. You need at least a pipe upgrade to bring the engine to life. But If all you want to do is trail ride this is the ATV to get sporty with 4X4.
