Jet kit and air filter
#1
I just purchased a 2002 wolverine and was looking to put a K&N air filter on it. I saw an add that also talked about a jet kit. Does that work with the airfilter, if so what does it do? I saw that it gave it a little more power and it was cheap so I thought I might do it. Also is it a good idea to put a prefilter on or will it restrict too much air? Thanks for clueing me in.

A jet kit is for your carb. It gives you a new needle that you can make different settings with and it gives you a bunch of jets for the carb. If you put the K&N filter on, a prefilter is worth it because it won't block any air just particles of dirt from getting in. I think the prefilter is worth it. Now if you let in more air with the airfilter and you let more gas in with the jet kit you should let more exhaust out by changing the silencer on your exhaust.
