Hey birdofprey, if you know of anyone that is willing to trade a 97 shee for an R.. in good shape.. I will do it! I need a 250R. my 97 has many mods, and is in near perfect condition! I will take a stock R! If anyone else in here wants to buy a good shee, $4,200 will take it.. I am negotiable

brokemybanshee,

The video was made with a digital camcorder. I then downloaded the video onto my Mac and usded iMovie2 for the editing. It was then saved as a QuickTime video optimized for the internet.

And yes, the bike is jetted a little rich. It gives me much more peace of mind over being lean! Also, most of the video did not show the bike completely on the pipe (since I was in the neighborhood). The way it's set up is either on or off - and when it's on, it's ON! Once it's opened up (like the shot of the bike running over the camcorder from the front), it literally screams! I guess the 41mm carb doesn't like low throttle, but I have yet to foul any plugs.

mroux,

You will need QuickTime to view the video. You should be able to download it free from apple.com. If you can't get it to work, don't worry - the video's not really that big of a deal.

Good luck...

pineman,

By sissy stripes are you refering to the fact that the far edges of the tire aren't shredded? I once saw a bike where the rubber was literally hanging off the far edges of the rear tire - very impressive and too scary for me!

pineman,

Have you heard if this is the last year of the V-Max? A buddy just bought a new one and thought this was the case.
