Hey guys. Just wondered if anyone else is having a problem with their Raptor using oil.
I have about ten hours on a 2001 and after a two hour ride I checked the oil lever without screwing the dipstick in and the fluid level was at the bottom and needed filling. Any ideas guys? Is there an adjustment for this? Please Help

Thanks

Did you warm it up good and then let it cool down for 2 minutes like the manual says. I did the same thing, not thinking I checked the oil and it showed a little above the E. It made me think that it was about 1/4 to 1/2 a quart low. So I put some in.

Then I went riding again, check it like i was suppose to and now it is about 1/4 quart to high. The same as I put in. So just a thought. Never really had a problem at all.

I posted about something like this a while back. Watch how you use the dip stick. If you put it in flush, not screwed in, to the threads it will read one way and if you put it in angled down it will read another. It should be put in flust against the threads I was told. Also make sure you have warmed the quad up because all the oil settles back down into the crank case and needs to be warmed up to getback into the oil res., hence dry res.
