Since your griz is shaft drive, you can't compensate by changing sproket's. Check out High Lifter for some products that might help.

There must be something wrong with your bike, it should not bog down at all, this thing in low gear which you would be in I hope when you go into thick swamps would never run out of power, my dad has a 2002 black Kodiak auto, and he has 27/12/12 Blackwater tires on it and he doesn't run out of power in MUD. If a 400 doesn't a 600 should never.
Maybe there is something wrong with the gas or your spark plug or even your carb. Don't know but you should not run out of power no matter what tires you have on it. Make sure your in low gear in Mud and water, it gives you more torque and also gives you more belt life.
2000 Grizz
3500 Km's and not a hickup.

Hey yam8, I always use low gear when in the mud. It doesn't seem to matter though. It usually only happens when I get burried. I'll give the bike some throttle and it really struggles to spin the tires. Some times I have to put it in reverse, back up a few inches and then try to get some momentum forward to get the tires to break free. Very frustrating and likely hard on the tranny. Thanks for the replies.
