Black/White Raptor Icon

I don't want a blue Raptor icon. I would prefer a black one at least. I realize this is not much of a problem compared to what a lot of people have. There might be a yellow 400EX in my future if my Raptor starts to fall apart if Honda doesn't hurry up and make that 650EX. Thats why I am trying the yellow 400ex Icon to see if I like it.

The images used for those icons are
50x38x256 in size(.gif). There is no reason that another icon of that size could not be used if it was added to the list for this software.
That would be up to the moderators to decide. I can picture instances where people would abuse it though. Making icons that are questionable in nature.
You can take any one of those icons and open it in any graphics editing program...change colors, etc.
I just made a purple 400ex in about 5 minutes...Not too hard.
I take that back...at least the size part of it. Some of the icons are even smaller than I listed. There has to be a cut off for size...But anyways, making a new one would not be hard at all.

I can see you know alot more about this than I do. You are the Pro Rider and I am the Trailblazer. I am sure the moderators have much more on there mine than this issue. It never hurts to ask the moderators for a new black/white Raptor Icon. If and when this would happen it would be neat to see how many would do the switch. I am just lucky that the only problem with my Raptor is I can't get the color correct Icon on the ATV Connection/forums. Thanks for info, Chet

No..that's cool. Don't take that "Pro-rider" thing to heart.... I am lucky enough to be able to use this forum from work. So in between coding, I load up the web page and kill some time. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
Just happens that the company I work for deals with alot of images/ tags, icons, etc. I do all the icons/buttons for our software. All I did was load the .Gif image into my editor and start playing. This has sparked my interest a bit. I will see what I can do about making some icons up. If anything, they can be used as links on the desktop or whatever. Maybe I will put together some raptor or banshee themes for the computer. Once I get my web page posted...I am going to make a good effort to be an informative and well known site for ATV's. The problem I am having right now Is that my web page is very graphic intensive which makes it large in size.. so I would have to pay for space. I had my web server running from home and my service provider made me stop serving it up. It had way too much traffic.
BTW: paintshop pro...or any adobe editor will work. I happened to use microsofts version that comes with visual studio..But anything that will open a .gif will work for editing the pictures.

Talking about having an icon the correct color, I own a quad that was made for the last 15 years and I can't even have an icon, let alone having it the correct color. I emailed the ATV Connection main e-mail address saying that the Warrior riders of this forum would like to have a Warrior icon. Dave Beckstrom e-mailed me back and said to send him one. I e-mailed Dave Beckstrom back and asked what size to make the icon. He said to make it the same size as the others. I made a Warrior icon the same size as the Banshee and the Raptor and e-mailed it to Dave. This was in the beginning of July. I have sent numerous e-mails to Dave and to the main e-mail address and have received no reply. I have even asked if maybe Dave is on vacation. I had kinda given up until I read this post. I hoped Dave or someone from the ATV Connection would have e-mail me back and told me something. If the icon is no good, if it's the wrong size, if it's the wrong format if they just want me to leave them alone. Some kind of response would have been good. Good luck with your icon. All that work not to even get a reply from them.

I guess I should stop complaining. You know the Warrior has been around for a long time and is legend status. As many Warriors that have been sold compared to the black/white Raptor I will wait my turn and say the Warrior ICON should be before a black/white Raptor. I would have to say my black/white Raptor is turning blue on this subject. I am just lucky I have the option of being a blue Raptor if that is needed. Chet

I wrote to Atv connection about the Recon and told them I purchased Recon mainly on what they had written about it in early 1999 and they actually responded. When I wrote to them about the Raptor this time,nothing. I just started looking at the side bar on ATV connection and saw they had forums so I signed up. I guess its better late than never. We need a Warrior ICON and black/white Raptor icon. The way I understand it, it not that hard to do its just that someone has to take the time to install it. Chet
