I was just wondering what you guys thought on a shoot out between a banshee and a raptor. The banshee is bored .80 over has vito pitons, reed spacers with the v-force reeds, fmf pipes along with the fmf ignition, and it has the stock gearing and clutches, the person riding would weigh about 250 pds. the raptor has the pro design intake with the k&n air filter, ct racing pipe with it jetted and the air box lid off, and a tooth was added to the front sprocket, and just has stiffer clutch springs. The rider weighs about 140 pds. what do you think these two would do against each other espicially in the sand. Thanks

I'm thinking the banshee. Two strokes scream when modified and man that two stroke power is sweet in the sand. But the raptor will have an edge in the woods. Other than that I think the banshee can beat the raptor.

I wouldnt want to bet on either. The Raptor rider is significantly lighter. The extra tooth on the countershaft sprocket will hurt him in a drag race. Raptors are quick, very competitive with Banshees and I have heard the pipe and intake mods really wake it up. However that Banshee isnt stock either and we all know that Banshees have a serious reputation as go fast machines. A real shootout is not just a drag race though and the Raptor is without question the more versatile machine. Gotta point out though 2 strokes always seem to be better duners, that instant hit is a big plus.

They are very close in performance. The rider weight will have a big influence. I would say that in the sand the extra tooth on the Raptor would be a bad thing. On the hardpack the extra tooth would be OK I think.

If I had to place a bet it would be on the Banshee, the Vitos pistons would probably give it an edge.
