I dyno'd my Raptor the other day using a full size car dynojet 248C dyno.

I have a Single 6.5" K&N Filter and Keihin FCR 35mm Carbs and the Stock exhaust with the spark arrestor removed.

The results were 45.6hp @ 7500rpm.

Has anybody else dyno'd there Raptors yet? Please post results along with modifications.

Nakedraygun,

Is that 45.6 hp rear wheels? Just wanted to confirm that. I will be testing mine shortly, hopefully before the end of the month. I have the 680 Trinity kit, so it should be interesting.

I'll keep you updated!

Yea, that was 45.6 at the rear wheels.

But it was also 113deg F air intake temperature.

I am also curious how accurate since I tested it on a full size car dyno and not a Dynojet ATV dyno.

Looking at the mobile dyno results makes me think it may be pretty accurate.

Next I plan to put on an aftermarket exhaust.

I think I am going to start with a White Bros. E series slip on.

Let me know your results.

Derbyking,

Well, I don't exactly have it perfectly dialed in yet. I ran it a bit rich for breakin and am now playing with it to dial it in. Currently, I am using a 155/160 and the needle up 1 notch.

Right now my quad is apart, because I had a carrier bearing fail which was allowing the axle to flop around in the carrier. Once I get the bearings back installed I will begin to do some more testing.

I will probably move the needle back to the stock postion and from there I may have to go up in the mains to 157.5/162.5. Again, I am going through alot of trial and error still but, 155/160 seems to be pretty close. One thing to pay alot of attention to is the air screws. With all of the work that has been done, the adjustment of the air screws seems to be very critical.

I am at 600' above sea level.

If I can help any further, feel free to contact me anytime.

Swy

Naked,

I was just wondering why you would put 35mm FCR Kehin's on a virtually stock Raptor??

The stock carbs actually flow more air than the intake ports can flow. You are actually over carbed by about 300 cfm.
