banshee carbs

Im thinking about buying 34mm kehien carbs for my banshee and I wanted to know what kind of performance gains I will get from them. I also wanted to know if any one has put them on there banshee and do you like them what kind of jeting will i have to do and were will i be able to get the jets and do you like these carbs. Are they a good chooce pleese give me info thanks.

i would hold off on them until you get your cylinders ported. if you want carbs now, try the pwk28's. they seem to work well with piped banshees, improving throttel response and over all power. hope i helped.
if i were you id spend it on some kind of performance head with 19 or 20cc domes, or get your stock head milled for a cheaper price then the nice and trick looking cool heads, trixx heads, etc.

I had 35mm Kiehn Air Strykers on my modded 98 Banshee and could'nt ever get the jetting right.
I just switched to two Mikuni 34 mm Flat-Sides, Bored to 35.5 mm. I am going to try these and see if I have better luck.
I really wish I would just stayed with the stock Mikuni's. Even though my engine is ported, polished, bored, coolhead with 18cc domes, drag pipe, etc., I don't really think the engine needs more fuel than the stockers could provide.

I am looking for carbs too. But, I am looking for carbs that will make it easier to change main jets. I haven't done it yet, but it looks like it might suck. I know it is not fun to change them on the Blaster.
My 400EX has a nice plug in the bottom of the float bowl, I just take out the plug, and change the main jet. Don't have to dismantle the carb, boot, or float bowl.
Please help!

I just sold my set of 35PWK's so I could run a set of Mikuni 34 TMs bored to 35.5 (for methanol) I ran the 35pwk's for 2 years and I loved them, I never had a problem with jetting..... But my bike is also highly modded.... I have noticed that the TM's are easier to work on and adjus(convert back and forth from gas to methanol)

The Keihin's and the Mikuni flat slides have a drain plug in the bottoms of the bowls... that way all you have to do is turn the carb sideways, remove the plug and change your jets, Much easier that the stock carbs!!

If your banshee has no port work, 34mm carbs will be a waste and will acually hurt your performance. My suggestion is to go to LRD Performance and check out what they say. Give them a call and talk to Jason or Eli.
I use 34mm mikuni flat slides that are bored out to 35.5mm with a power jet set up. I do not have to change main jets, just dial for proper flow. I also run with pipes, porting, open air filters and ride mostly in the sand here in Utah..
