victory comes easy on a banshee

Ah I loved smokin that cocky kid on that 400 ex. You should of seen his face when the race was over this kid thought the 400 ex was the fastest quad. Well i stayed neck and neck with him but my overall speed was much to fast for him so he lost I also didnt have a good takeoff. If i would of had a good takeoff i wouldnt of even seen me.

I have been riding with a couple of buddies with Banshees since I got my Raptor a few months ago. We have drag raced them a bunch. 1 Banshee was stock, and when it was stock it was really even on pavement. Anything other than pavement the Raptor ruled. On the pavement whooever got the holeshot would win. If it was an even take off, the Banshee would pull 1/2 a bike length in 3rd gear. It would then stay even from there on out. Now he put FMF pipes on his bike, boost bottle, and a K&N filter. Now when we race I can pull away hard through 3rd gear on my bike. About end of 4th, start of 5th gear he'll pass me, and keep pulling. Since our first races I did some airbox mods, 12 tooth front sprocket, rejetted, and pulled the spark arrestor out. I can't wait to see what happens with the CT Racing pipe kit with K&N does to the results of our races.
The other Banshee I ride with is much more modified. He has pipes, filter, reeds, reed spacer, boost bottle, jetting, high compression piston, ported heads, and some other mods. I can pull on his bike on pavement through 2nd gear, and then he passes me, and keeps on truckin. Anything other than pavement, and the Raptor rules. This bike is a lot closer off road though.
I wish I would have got a Banshee to go faster, cheaper. But it's also nice to have a bike that can, and will give them a run for their money with reverse, and electric start. The suspension on the Raptor seems better than the stock Banshee equipment too. The Raptor seems like the ultimate trail, race, dune, etc, etc, etc bike so far. I just hope I don't start having some of the problems others have had with the bike. It looks cool too.
They're all fast enough to hurt yourself!

bad660r; I've raced my stock Raptor against my friends modified Banshee; FMF pipes, 16 tooth countersprocket, as far as I know and from a dead stop he would be sniffing carbon monoxide all day!!!! From a rolling start going through all the gears, just to wind them out would result in my Raptor slighty pulling away. Now, I've met with a guy who just bought a brand new stock Banshee, so we tested them out after giving our compliments on each others bike. From 1st thru 4th dead even...in 5th my Raptor just pulled away....The further the distance the wider the spread.. Second attempt same result. Forgot to mention; both races were on pavement!!!! I know that every machine respondes a little different, but my stock Raptor held its head very high against the Banshee's that I've met up with.
