I've got a 98 Grizzly that has a problem with the oil cooling fan. When I ride through deep water the cooling fan stops working for about half an hour til something dries out. What should I waterproof and how?

Does the fan run constantly from the time you start the bike? If not then it is on a thermostat. When I ride in water my fan comes on rarely if ever, as opposed to dry riding, but thats on a Honda.

Does your motor seem excessively hot until the fan does come on?

Yamaha changed the electronics on the 1999 Grizzly from the non-water proof electronics on the 1998 Grizzly is what I read. I read that the 1999's uses the same electronics as Yamaha's water craft.I read this in Dirt Wheels when they tested the 1999 Grizzly. I haven't had the problem you mention, but then again I live in Arizona, which isn't exactly wet.
