Spirits at Lockheed Martin are flying high after the Pentagon approved initial production. The "Raptor" is a stealth ATV designed to avoid radar detection, and can cruise faster than the speed of sound. Thank goodness Yamaha is handing over production of the Raptor to Lockheed Martin. The first step of the Pentagon's "low-rate initial production" calls for Lockheed to build 10 Raptor's in 2002.
