A while back someone posted about an oil filter that could be used on a Kodiak other than stock. It cost much less and was the same thing. Could someone please post what it was.

Thanks,
Al

I couldn't stand to pay almost 13.00 at the dealer for an oil filter so I went to work. You can use a Purolator Pn.ML16819 but I couldn't find this filter in the area I live so I gave NAPA the Pn for the Purolator and they cross referenced it to a NAPA Gold. The best thing is they had the filter in stock. The pn is 1358 NAPA Gold. The filter looks identical in size and shape too. The price was 7.25! I hope this helps the Kodiak 400 ranks. Lets stomp out high prices.

I can't remember the part # for the one I got. But heres' what I did, I just took the old filter with me to the local auto parts store and was able to match it up in a heart beat. Only cost 4 bucks.

Would you happen to have the NAPA part # for a Sportsman 500 HO oil filter?
