In the september 2001 issue of 4-wheel atv action there was an article on the trinity raptor made by trinity racing (714-632-3434). I was wondering if anyone knows of someone who had this done to their raptor, and how they like it. The horsepower gain was incredible going from 43.1hp to 59.8hp. I also would like to know if this so called raptor 680 could compete with a 440ex. Do you think that 1,999 is a fair price for the kit including labor.

uh...yeah im sure it can compete with a 440ex, maybe not in a stock chassis but power and speed wise yes

 

LOL there is no competition. A highly tuned 440EX can push mid 40's in HP. Has anyone else seen the CT pipe that puts out 50HP on the Raptor? Does anyone have one?

I don't think the ct figures are correct. 2 friends of mine ran into one today. Here are the results.

raptor with full fmf system beat it.
raptor with big gun slip on system beat it also.

I wasn't there so I can't comment on the riders ability, but my friends did say that it was a close race.

 

If a 680 couldnt totally destroy a 440 something's seriously wrong.

 

Yes i would say the CT bumbers are fake. I have a HMF full exhaust and I still dont have it jetted correctly and I have no problem pulling hard from the CT Raptor. My top end is not there at the moment so I dont beat it too bad in a long drag. Plus they are way to expensive.
